Bristol Young Student of the Year Awards

Students competed against students from other local schools in an iPhone App. design competition, designed to increase employability skills. The team was awarded £200 first prize for “Best App” and Seren Davies was awarded £100 for “Most Innovative Student”

Team 1 members were Simon Ash, Claire Pilgrim, Seren Davies and Daniel Hallam.

Exhibition at Warwick University

The display features artwork from year 9 students involved in an English project where they were looking at poetry along the theme of ‘Stranger in a Foreign Land’.

Castle School to pioneer national career initiative

The Castle School will be the first institution in the country to test-run the School Society, a recruitment programme led by and for A-level pupils through a link-up with local employers.

Launched by consultancy firm Bright Futures, it will help students make the best possible decision for their future whether it be through education, a training scheme or entering the workforce.
